Summary/Overview

Plans and directs engineering tasks to meet program objectives. Determines key engineering issues and establishes the disciplines required to comply with program deliverables, Directs support activities and provides direction to these activities as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans engineering activities and timing schedules that are consistent with program objectives.

	Assists in developing engineering expenditures required to achieve program objectives.
	Reviews and updates job performance objectives periodically to reflect new information and new technology
	Tracks program timing related to design release, tooling, manufacturing, test certification, pilot, and production build schedules.-
	Originates or reviews and approves all program engineering releases and changes.
	Prepares and initiates paperwork (such as work order, purchase requests, and PCN's compliant with established
	practices and procedures.
	Attends program core group meetings.
	Reviews engineering design program and releases to ensure part design objectives are maintained.
	Monitors prototype and pilot build for adherence to design intent identifying and resolving are maintained.
	Provides management with program status updates on a regular basis.
	Assists in reviewing and updating corporate engineering procedures.

Education & Experience

	Bachelors Degree in Engineering
	Experience in Automotive Suspension System Design Engineering
	Experience with General Motors products and familiarity with GM testing system

Knowledge & Skills

	Excellent Interpersonal and organizational skills
	Excellent writing and oral presentation skills
	Effective group leadership skills
