Summary/Overview |
|
|
Release all final Truck Pre-production and
Production part usages and assemblies from engineering documents, EWO's/EPN's,
VDS and GMPT usages into GPDS. Create stop orders and Engineering Work
Orders (EWO's) when necessary. Assist Design/Release Engineers in
researching part usage data in GPDS. Interpret various engineering
designs and describe part usage requirements for Pre-Production and
Production release. |

Essential Duties & Responsibilities |
|
|
 |
Interpret basic enginering/design information and convert into simple
GPDS production model/option or assembly usage statements. |
 |
Analyze build authorities and engineering work orders (EWO's) and
convert experimental design requirements into simple build/test usage
statements. |
 |
Communicates engineering data and maintains specification liaison with
other departments or units. |
 |
Create
stop orders. |
 |
Process
engineering work orders (EWO's) |

|
Education & Experience |
|
|
 |
Associate degree or equivalent training in computer science or business
administration. |
 |
Training in mechanical drawing/blueprint reading. |
 |
Two-three years experience in activities requiring understanding of
drafting/computer systems/engineering parts lists.
|
|
|
Knowledge & Skills |
|
|
 |
Working knowledge of engineering parts list concepts. |
 |
Ability to interpret and analyze basic engineering documents and
designs. |
 |
Ability to plan, maintain schedules and organize work. |
 |
Basic understanding of NAO corporate standards and GM logical language
statements. |
 |
Basic understanding of EPIC, UPC/FNA and GPDS |
 |
Understanding of basic mechanical concepts |
 |
Some analytical ability where problems are not difficult or complex |
 |
Oral and written communication skills |
 |
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others |
 |
Basic understanding of data processing concepts |
