Summary/Overview

This person is responsible for executing Design and Engineering in conformance to all applicable QS and customer specific procedures for specific major customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

	Execute Engineering policies and procedures.
	Staff Engineering Group to meet Program requirements for Major Customer
	Approve Department labor weekly in M2M
	Chair Engineering Group Meetings
	Define Department skills matrix
	Perform Performance reviews for Engineering personnel
	Identify Training requirements, coordinate training and ensure HR documentation
	Attend QS9000 meetings and ensure engineering compliance to QS9000 standards
	Engineering team feasibility sign-off for quotations
	Allocate Engineering resources to programs
	Review and Approve all Engineering Changes (EDN/PCN)
	Periodically attend Program reviews
	Periodically attend Design reviews
	Attend all significant program milestone reviews
	Review prototype / pilot builds

Education & Experience

	Bachelors or Master Degree in Engineering
	15 or more years of related experience and training, or
	Equivalent combination of education/training and experience
	Working Knowledge of Major customers design and release system

Knowledge & Skills

	Basic PC Skills
	Excellent Interpersonal and organizational skills
	Excellent writing and oral presentation skills
	Effective group leadership skills
	Knowledge of FMEA, FEA, EPL’s, OEM Engineering Release Process, QS9000
