UX (User Experience) Information Architect
Chicago, IL
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
User Experience, abbreviated "UX", is the quality
of experience a person has when interacting with a specific design.
The User Experience Architect’s
primary responsibility is to work with lead planners in the user-centric design
through the cultivation of user insights to inspire ideation and develop
comprehensive online experiences. This includes brand web sites, third-party
sites and other digital communication channels. The User Experience Architect
works with the team to define user needs based on project goals. The design of
the experience is rooted in site analysis, information architecture and customer
research.
Lead Responsibilities
 |
Lead digital
team in the user-centric design process. |
 |
Work with
the lead planner to develop immersive activities to inspire the ideation
team and create and empathetic user perspective. |
 |
Work with
the team and in some cases take the lead in defining user objectives and
requirements. |
 |
Facilitate
experience design sessions and development of experience maps. |
 |
Work with
team in risk mitigation and optimization planning for the user experience. |
 |
Accountable
for the following deliverables under guidance of Lead Experience Planner:
user experience POVs/presentation, user objectives and requirements, user
experience maps, site architecture, site wireframes, and project research
brief. |
Shared Responsibilities
(within the group and Analytics)
 |
Cultivate
user insights through data/information analysis. |
 |
Work with
lead experience planner, strategists, and the research manager to define
research in conjunction to gain further insights. |
 |
Work with
the analytics group and strategists to analyze data, determine insights, and
develop recommendations to optimize the user experience |
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
 |
Bachelors
degree. (Master’s degree in Information Science desired but not required). |
 |
Minimum 2
years of interactive marketing and information architecture experience. |
 |
Strong
understanding of market research, consumer insights, and digital metrics |
 |
Strong
understanding of Information Architecture/Human Computer Interaction (HCI)
and/or prior experience as an Information Architect. |
 |
Ability to
combine vision with strong creativity and tactical execution |
 |
Excellent
communication skills: writing, verbal, and small-group presentations |
 |
Highly
self-motivated and excellent attention to details |
 |
May include
other duties as assigned. |
