Air Intake Design Engineer
Metro Detroit, Michigan
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Design Engineer to join a research and development team for
an International automotive company. This R&D team is linked with the company
Headquarter R&D Team overseas. This Design Engineer is expected to take
responsibility for:
 | Preparation of all design documentation including
3D/2D models and drawings, assembly specification, DFMEA, Change
Documentation, drawings, BOM according to company standards. |
| Will support the Engineering Manager and the Program
Manager to work in close liaison with the customer and the North American
Suppliers |
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must be able to train in Europe for 4 weeks
- Previous experience as a CAD designer/engineer for an
automotive supplier, preferably with air induction systems
- must have significant engine system/component design
experience, in particular on "from specification to S.O.P. throughout the
PPAP"
- 3D CAD CATIA V5 system knowledge is essential (UG NX5
is an advantage)
- 2D CAD CATIA V5 system and ASME knowledge is essential
- Experience and knowledge in the following materials
and related technologies:
 | Thermoplastics - injection molding - required |
| Aluminum - Die casting - is an advantage |
| Steel - Trim & bend - is an advantage |
| Stainless steel - Brass welded - is an advantage |
- Multicultural background experience is a plus
